ParkWatch is the ideal system for providing “space available” information to guests and for monitoring and improving parking lot traffic flow.

ParkWatch server software and controllers integrate with vehicle sensor loops and loop detectors. As vehicles pass over the sensor loops, count outputs are generated. Alvarado’s ParkWatch monitors and categorizes these counts to provide a real time count of vehicles within a facility, lot and/or floor, and provides instant “spaces available” information for lots, floors or designated areas.

The system is typically implemented to:

Monitor and improve traffic flow patterns
SQL or Access database
Provide “space available” information on large signs to patrons
Provide revenue control through comparison of vehicle count numbers with POS sales totals
Save revenue through the automatic control of gate operators as preset capacities in the facility, lot or floor increase or decrease

ParkWatch was designed and initially implemented at the largest parking garage in North America, and is suitable for both large and small venues. The system provides on screen counts, and maintains historical data. System controllers can integrate with and control gate operators or other hardware devices to regulate traffic flow.

ParkWatch utilizes a powerful SQL database and includes a number of useful standard reports and graphs. The SQL database is also always available to assemble custom reports for tracking or analysis. The system includes an application that allows users to export data, as often as every minute, to any networked location. This useful feature allows the delivery of real time in facility or capacity reports to mobile phones for instant mobile reporting.

Controllers communicate via Ethernet (wired or wireless) over the facility network.

Alvarado provides system software, controllers and system integration assistance as well as phone support. Local dealers provide sensor loop location layout, physical equipment installation and on site support. Alvarado is available to provide installation oversight as required.
